Per Peter King. They really want to add a WR opposite Roddy White.
this is crazy... I mean I cant remember so many rumors about so many teams wanting to move up in a draft like this before
this draft should be interesting I'll try to watch most of it, atleast the first 3 rounds
They are too far back to trade with unless they do a Ricky Williams type trade.
Me either and to be honest I'm kinda loving it. I've been waiting for months for the draft to get here and its not even 2 days away and all of these rumors are just intriguing me more. I can't wait to see how this all plays out.
Their 1st & 2nd this year, and their 1st next year. Steep price for a position you can address with your 1st or 2nd this year pretty well. Not Julio Jones-well, but well.
Maybe a 2012 1st, 3rd and 4th?
yes and so many teams are desperate to get out i doubt they will crack the top ten.
Man that would take alot, That would take a 1st, 2nd and next years 1st. I might do that.
the falcons have the 27th pick and the 59th pick plus their 2012 1st round pick. Yeah I would do it in a heart beat.
I can then trade 40 and 59 to 21 and get a OT or DE
or trade 27 and 40 to get to 15 and get Castanzo or Watt
or trade 27 and 59 to get up to 17 and get Castano or Watt
or trade 27 and 71 to get up to 18 and take Castanzo, Watt, or Jordan.
We can do any of the above trades back up and still get a extra 1st round pick for next years draft.
So yeah I would do this trade in a heart beat.
They should look at Leonard Hankerson out of Miami... I think he's going to be a terrific WR.
Crazy the amount of rumors out there but there is no way atlanta tries to get into the top 10. Too steep of a price with picks and no one knows what the rookie wage scale will be
At 27, they could have their pick of the 2nd tier WR's after Green and Jones.
27 is probably too high for those guys, but they could trade down or just wait for their pick in the 2nd round.
Not going to happen. With the uncertainty about the future still hanging over this draft, noone is going to accept future draft picks for trades. I remember seeing an article about that very thing a few weeks ago.
I'd be happy to give them #9 for 27,59, and next yrs 1st. The value in this draft lies in the 2nd and early third round.
That offense with Gonzales, White and Julio Jones would be incredible.
or stay where we are and pick
27: phil taylor, NT (immediate starter)
40: carpenter, OT (immediate starter ROT)
59: Rackley, OG (immediate starter ROG)
71: trade down and pick up extra 4
Rd 3 (late): D Will (possible SS starter next to Huff at FS)
Rd 4a: Ras-I Dowling, CB
still have picks in rounds 4-7 and
a 1st next year
It would be sick of them to land Green or Jones. On Offense they are one receiver away from being deadly with White, Gonzales, Turner, Julio/Green . I live in Atlanta and would for them to draft green and draft heyward, but they would pretty much have to sacrafice their whole draft and some of next years to make that happen.
Alternatively they could go Ingram/Turner and make teams load the box and open things up for White. Ingram should be available with their pick.
I agree. This is a pretty good WR class, so why sell out next year's top pick too.
I'm sure they see a big opportunity to challenge for the Super Bowl.....at least in their opinion.
Ryan would be in heaven with all of those weapons: Roddy White, Tony Gonzalas, Michael Turner, Julio Jones....whoa.
