We need this guy in our rotation, hope he's back soon...
Sprain shouldn't be bad. Hope he's back for preseason game 1
Sprain is a generic diagnosis they give initially. I tore my bicep completely off the elbow and it was first diagnosed as a sprain until I could get the MRI. I'm not saying Gardner's injury is any worse, just that an initial diagnoses of a sprain doesn't tell you anything.
Great, now Calvin Watkins is going to browse this thread and write a story that Gardner tore his bicep off the bone...
Thanks @Risen Star
Holy cow rs, and sheesh I thought we drafted Ben with shoulder issues already..
With this team, a sprained shoulder will be a dislocated one by tomorrow. We will be told 4-6 weeks and then he go on IR.
His college injury was a torn left pectoral muscle.
He is going on the PUP tomorrow lol
It literally could be nothing or a season long deal. You won't know until the MRI.
I'm sure the team doctors can make a good educated guess though.
Let's hope for the best. I was looking forward to seeing what he can do. Underrated.
Ben Gardener is nice thought, the hate for Nick Hayden around here is ridiculous. What ever happened to routing for the underdog.
Aside from the preliminary medical diagnosis... This team is notorious for under playing injuries
Jg: held so and so back to end the practice . . Looks like a day to day thing
Gardner tore his left pectoral at Stanford and it ended his senior year. Hopefully did not happen again.
This team is not fundamentally good enough where a feel good underdog story making the roster is a good thing.
No way to know about Gardner now.
Lot's of realists around to deconstruct the team's woes for us all. Hard to say what we have on defense. Maybe enough starters will stay on the field long enough to get an idea what their identity is this year.
Ladies and gentlemen, our first installment of "I don't know the rules for PUP 2014." Don't worry if you missed it, we'll have many more posts like this.
Usually I would say it's a good thing to get the minor injuries out of the way early but with the Cowboys things tend to snowball from here.
Ummm....I'm pretty sure he was joking.
Lucky you had the massive forearms to compensate.
