This is Jerry's excuse for the OLINE struggling this year. Unreal.
The coolaid crowd comes to the rescue....
The Boys invented GIGO (Garbage In - Garbage Out). At some point, the Jones' just have to stop dumpster diving.
He ate 6 of them.
If you enjoy cripple fights.
I'm sorry but what does his pay or pedigree have to do with an injury of this nature? Would it be better to have a high priced player or a big name player end up with this injury? You guys are acting as if mamagement had something to do with this injury.
Was it Philly front office that caused Jason Peters achillies injury?
Probably not a huge deal. Generally those tears are peripheral and he most likely will do well. It's possible they knew about this and all were hoping he wouldn't need surgery. Better now than later. Without complications I expect him back sooner than later. Take a chill pill.
I'm expecting Ron Leary to start anyway
This is one of the things that happens when you go shopping at the Defective Merchandise Bargain Bin,,,
Defeatist attitude, if I ever saw one. You really believe this? I understand disappointment, but "The Boys invented GIGO (Garbage In - Garbage Out)" is overly harsh, don't ya think? Do you take the point of view that anything short of your thinking is "Kool-Aid crowd" thinking? There's sure an awful lot of ground in-between jumping off a cliff and thinking everything is sunshine and lollipops.
This is a hit but not earth shattering news, IMO. Many teams lose players for the entire season during the offseason and camps. Part of the NFL deal. I see no reason to bash the Cowboys FO for player injuries/ physical problems that arise. Comes with the territory.
Completely agree. It sucks but it's unfair to blame anyone. It's an injury. There's no controlling them. If there was, no one would ever be injured.
Let the trials and tribulations start now. It will make the team stronger. If this affects their attitude then they are screwed. They just have to keep pushing along despite all of the negative things that will occur. I'm pretty sure this will be the first of many. Time to let it go and move on.
Livings & Leary at guard.
Costa or Nagy at Center.
True, it is also not as if it is a career ending injury. He is expected to be back sometimes during the pre season. Sucks that he is having to go through this but it is what it is at least it is being treated now.
Philly lost Peters
Ravens lost Suggs
49ers lost their 5th round pick the other day to an ACL.
Just wait till they start hitting each other. Hopefully he comes back before the 3rd preseason game and is ready by week 2 or 3. It's a long year, at least he will be back.
July 28 would be exactly 11 weeks after his surgery. If his recovery is 10-12 weeks, there's a good chance that he won't miss any of training camp.
Great examples. Exactly what I was talkin' about. Hoping we don't suffer any such season-ending injuries, but they happen. Like you say, at least Bernadeau is expected to be back ... before the season begins.
If his is the worst injury situation the Cowboys have to deal with before Game 1, I'll be ecstatic.
That's true as well. There should be as much competition as possible on the OL this off-season though. I don't like the idea of throwing a player in who hasn't had the entire off-season to prepare. It's not like he is some all-star.
It's nowhere near the end of the world though, you're right, being reactionary with our thoughts and opinions are only making things worse.
So we're looking at Livings Costa Leary right now I guess.
problem will be is that he will not be able to work out for quite a while; his muscle tone in his lower body and legs will be very low. It will take weeks to get back into playing shape. No way can he really be penciled in as anything but a backup for the start. Maybe half way through the season. Maybe.
flag for excessive use of math.
you are trying to bring facts to an emo festival.
now everyone is all gothed out with no where to go.
