I think the Martz offense fit him, I wish him and Sam both the best of luck.

"Despite an early drop and a couple of botched routes, they are just as anxious to work him into the offense as their coach is."

    Yeah, must be the rust.

I'm sure it feels good to drop all the baggage he carried in Dallas.

Well.. no. But I dunno.. I mean it's hard to read in to things through text but it does seem like it's a sleight to the Cowboys when you combine all of what he said.

Exactly!! I wasn't a Roy hater, I hope he plays well. But, you can bet your last dollar, he didn't want to leave Dallas.. His talk now is a front cause his feelings are hurt. I wish him well...

Probably feels better to drop his pads and have others carry them for him.

Why do people get so uptight and at arms over what a former player says? Some people act like a player is going to be all down and "Well where I used to be was so much better but"...who cares.

And Martz runs the kind of offense that best suits Roy so I'm not surprised he's comfortable and happy about working in Martz system again.

If anyone should keep their mouth shut and play, it's Williams. That's just it though, his entire time with the Cowboys he demonstrated a low football IQ to go along with his lack of concentration. Combine that with his excuse making and that goes a long way to explaining why he is no longer here. At least Jerry had the sense to cut bait with him despite being the idiot that overvalued\overpaid him in the first place.

People kept making excuses for him, Roy never made any excuses while he was here. He was always the first person to admit that he was playing poorly. Even when he was cut he said he would have done the same.
It was a horrible trade and it never worked out but lets not make him into the bad guy, there's not a person on this board who would turn down the contract he was offered. If anyone deserves the blame for this it's the man that traded for him
