Stupid comedy. I guess that is a good description and here stupid is a good thing. It is brainless and sometimes that is what is needed. I really enjoyed it and laughed through out the movie. I know not everyone will like it, but there are some Ferrell fans out there and this is up there with Talladega Nights.

I liked anchor man, although I admit I did not care for it the first time I watched it.

I thought Ricky Bobby would not be very good but found it funny after watching it.

This one...I just don't know if I can get into it or not.

Will be one of those I will watch when it comes on one of the movie channels.

I couldn't stand Talladega Nights and this one doesn't look much better.

I have to admit that Anchorman is one of my favorite comedies of recent memory.

Loved Talladega Nights, Loved Anchorman, love everything Will Ferrell does.

I was gonna go see it friday night but had to bail because I was feeling real sick. This weekend, though - It's on.

I don't understand how anyone cannot like Talladega Nights. Since when is cougars mauling not funny?

I tell you the part that made me laugh the most on Ricky Bobby was them sitting around the dinner table with all the different foods (placement ads) and him going on about baby jesus. That just had me rolling.

Oh there is a movie that I thought was just totally flat out terrible...One he should have been beaten for being in.

Bewitched. Even with his funny ways and the sexy looks of Kidman...I could not watch but about 30 minutes of that movie before I had to leave the room.

That is what I get for letting the wife pick the movie that night.:laugh2:

Agreed. The part where he wouldn't walk also killed me - "Don't you wish that evil on us, Ricky Bobby!" I thought the crew chief was phenomenal. I think Ali G's french guy made alot of people not like the movie. The character was almost too over the top and annoying. But I ate it up.

"Chip! I'm all hopped up on Mountain Dew! I'm gonna come at you like a spider-monkey old man!"

    I didn't even attempt Bewitched.

Yes the Ali G character was he worst part of the movie IMO.

Which is odd as I usually like his work.

I would also imagine some, not saying the poster here, did not like the movie because it made fun of nascar and stereotyped.

I knew Bewitched would be bad. I saw it a couple of weeks ago on one of the movie channels. I was glad I chose not to see it in the theater. That was mostly because I just don't like Kidman. She bothers me. Maybe Ferrell agreed to be in it as part of a deal that allows him to do his own movies.

I like the way they're talking to you Chip! That's winners talk. What've you ever done?! The only thing you ever did was make a hot daughter! That's It!.....That's It!"

OMG I rolled at that scene, probably the funniest in the movie to me. Otherwise I was a little dissapointed.

Ricky Bobby: Dear Lord baby Jesus, or as our brothers in the south call you, jesuz, we thank you so much for this bountiful harvest of Dominos, KFC, and the always delicious Taco Bell. I just want to take time to say thank you for my family. My two beautiful, beautiful, handsome stricking sons, Walker, and Texas Ranger, or TR as we call him. And of course my red hot smokin' wife Carley, who is a stone cold fox.

    Cal Naughton, Jr.: mmm...

Ricky Bobby: Dear tiny infant Jesus...

Carley Bobby: Hey, um... you know sweetie, Jesus did grow up. You don't always have to call him baby. It's a bit odd and off puttin' to pray to a baby.

Ricky Bobby: Well look, I like the Christmas Jesus best, and I'm sayin grace. When you say grace, you can say it to grown up Jesus, or teenage Jesus, or bearded Jesus, or whoever you want.

    :lmao2:

    Or...

Ricky Bobby: Dear 8 pounds 6 ounces baby Jesus, new born, not even spoken a word yet.

or this one really made me roll...

Cal Naughton, Jr.: I like to think of Jesus as a mischievous badger.

    :lmao2: :lmao:

I can't stand the guy from Napolian Dynamite.

He was only good for that one role.

    Yep.

The funny thing is that I knew every "funny" part in the movie before watching it. People at school we're quoting non stop for the first two months it was out.
