    Everytime an injured player says they are fine, THEY ARE NEVER FINE. :(

    Nothing's confirmed yet. But losing Bruce is bigger than just this year. It would mean that both of our superstar ILB have had seasons ended due to injury. And calls our future at the position into question long-term.

    Not according to Bryan Broaddus.

    @BryanBroaddus

    Been told that Bruce Carter has a dislocated elbow and will have a scan in the morning. Going to try and get ready for PHI if no problems.

    10 minutes later

    RT @Markbristow22: @BryanBroaddus read many tweets he is out for season? //; I would check your sources then.

    Carter and Lee healthy together would be something.

    The bottom line is that they have to be (healthy) on the field in December when it matters the most. If they can't do that, you have to keep your options open as a GM.

    This is why Carter and Lee weren't steals. Everyone in the draft knew how talented they are. They fell because everyone also knew they have a tendency to get injured. I know some people here don't believe players can be injury prone, but it's starting to become a trend with these guys.

    The other ILBs in that draft all had really strong elbows.

    I suspect he may be out for the rest of the year. It sucks.

    Looking forward, I wouldn't be against spending a mid-round pick on another ILB in April.

    Is there a mid-round guy out there with titanium elbows? Because, if there is, that's the guy I want.

    Don't forget titanium toes.

    Unfortunately, no. We could use one, however.

    As witty as you are, no.

    It's not about titanium elbows or being a human robot. Some players just constantly get injured. Whether its brittle bodies or just being in the wrong place at the wrong time, who knows? But Lee and Carter have shown throughout their careers a propensity to find themselves on the sideline nursing some sort of injury more often than not.
