I know the answer is yes, but I'm just trying to make sense of why we have to endure another season with his hamstrings. Anyone know how severe?

The word "hamstring" needs to forever replace the word "Austin" from now on.

Which reminds me... I need to go to Hamstring next weekend.

Time for Williams to step up and be a factor. The chances of Austin making it thru the season without tweaking his hammy were slim at best.

I'm not worried about it right now honestly.

It was initially reported as a hip injury and it happened on the incompletion on the sideline where he fell hard.

A part of me wonders if we may not be better off long term with Beasley or Harris in the slot and T Williams outside.

Austin might as well name his future children semimembranosus, semitendinosus, and biceps femoris.

I think Harris and Williams will see quite a bit of time this year, and if they play even at an average level, Miles will be gone after the season. We have too many players holding the team hostage, year after year with injuries. Spencer and his bad knee, Ratliff and his bad groin, Johnson with all of his injuries, Miles with his hamstrings....time to start getting rid of the guys that never get on the field.

No Im absolutely shocked. I cant believe it. Miles is the last guy in the world you would ever think this could happen too.

I've never seen a marquis player have more non-contact injuries. How can an established athelite have such little sense of his physical boundaries ?

I think Jason Garrett said Austin could have went back into the game if the Cowboys needed him. But something tells me he's going to be in street clothes again until the middle of October.

He didn't have any ice on it while he was standing on the sideline, so hopefully it's not too bad. It's just a strain and not a tear.

Harris is a good receiver, especially out of the slot, but he doesn't have Austin's size, speed, strength, and run after the catch ability. Austin is a two time Pro Bowl pick. The Cowboys offense is significantly better with Miles on the field. Harris had a big play today after Austin went out, but he's not the long term starter. If he was, Dallas wouldn't have drafted Terrance Williams.

All of that is fine and dandy, but ill ask again. What has Austin done on passes downfield more than 20 yards? The abswer is nothing.

It's time for the Cowboys to have an exit strategy when it comes to #19. I want him off of this team, not because he's not a good player, but because you can't count on him for an entire season. If Murray gets hurt, ditch him as well. I want players that are here...part time players with full time benefits is not my idea of how to run a team.

I'm surprised it took until week 3 for him to hurt it.
