IRVING — With his unkempt hair and bleary eyes, Dallas Cowboys linebacker Keith Brooking had the look of a man whose work keeps him up at night.

As it turns out, that's exactly what happened to him after the 30-27 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.

"They had (171 yards) rushing…That was disappointing," Brooking said. "I didn't sleep good last night because of it."

Here's something else that's sure to keep him awake: With three games left, Dallas is next to last in the league in points allowed with an NFC-worst 366, putting them on pace to eclipse the club record of 405 points yielded in 2004.

The defense's struggles are magnified this week because this time last season marked the beginning of one of the stingiest three-week periods in club history.
