I've always thought he was kind of overrated. Did he get more than Ware?

I can agree with this, pedestal is a better word.

My wife thinks he looks like Fabio.... I'm convinced women are the reason why Clay Matthews gets all the national exposure on TV (commercials).

He's a one trick pony. Can't defend the pass or run.

Actually, I think he is a pretty good pass defender for a pass rushing LB. Over the past 4 years Matthews has 4 career interceptions and 22 career Passes Defensed .

    D. Ware in contrast has 1 interception and 22 Passes defensed over 8 years.

On the other hand, Matthews isn't nearly the pass rusher Ware is.

I need to screenshot this because I can't believe you, an ardent packers fan, would say Ware is superior to Matthews in pass rushing.

Being a fan of one team vs another (or both) doesn't stop me from trying to be honest in my analysis. D. Ware is the best pass rusher in the NFL over the past decade, and it's not even close.

HOW CAN YOU BE A FAN OF BOTH TEAMS?!

I mean, sure, I'll root for other teams to lose and even occasionally other teams to win if it helps the boys but I just can't fathom how someone can claim to have 2 favorite NFL teams. What if they play each other? Are you happy no matter what? That would actually be kinda nice :laugh2:

Shouldn't Mathews have taken a lesser salary so that Green Bay could make the defense better with that extra money?? :D

I love Clay the pass rusher. The dude is flat out relentless. Also love the way he wraps up on sacks with perfect form.

However I've never see a dominant pass rusher get knocked on his butt as much as this kid. He gets pancaked a lot. I've only seen Ware get pancaked maybe once, or twice.

On the other hand, Matthews is 4 years younger than Ware.
