We've waited week by week, looking for signs of life from the Cowboys rushing game. DeMarco Murray's big debut against the Rams offered some impressive stats and a 91 yard gem of a lead draw. What the rushing game needs to show, on a weekly basis, are at least two or maybe three complementary plays that start working consistently within the game, to show the line is building a rhythm. Against Seattle, two began to emerge.

The first was the toss, to the strong and the weak side. Murray has track speed and his ability to hit the edge got the Seahawks favoring outside runs. Nearly all of Murray's carries are outside the OT lanes, where the tight ends line up.
