DE Kenyon Coleman has torn triceps injury... Nothing official yet but it's very likely he could be out the rest of the season.

Yay, means we get more Marcus Spears.

What a great pick he was.

Coleman is done for the year he is going to IR so who takes his roster spot which is why I asked about Calloway.

After the injury Spears, Hatcher, Lessimore and Crawford as the new DE rotation ?

More time for Crawford and sign Ben Bass from PS, future DE's, with pass rush potential

Guy did a good job holding his ground vs the run. People overlook this role in the defense until its missing and the floodgates are open. Hopefully Spears is ready and this injury doesn't hurt us too much.

Oh well. Means we can see more of Crawford. It's not like we're going to miss the lack of contribution from this guy in the first place.

Any chance we could find another JJ Watt in the draft? He totally disproves the BS about 3-4 DEs not being expected to do anything but tie up blockers.

How is it BS if there's only one person disproving it?

Unless you are fortunate to find a rare athlete like Seymour, Watt or Ngata, most 3-4 defenses have DEs who essentially tie up blockers. It's just the nature of the defensive alignment.

Jonathan Hankins at Ohio State is that kind of athlete at 334 pounds and is pegged as a mid first rounder.

@JayGlazer Falcons are making a surprise move and releasing DE Ray Edwards, a big free agent pickup couple of years ago

    Do we take a look?

Wondering if he does fit. He is only 27 years old.

Only if we get to line him up across from Columbo every week.
