But the back shoulder throw to Bryant for the 2 point extra point try was thrown to Bryant's front shoulder.

Really? Try looking at his career average yards per pass. I call BS.

Two words. Cole Beasley. Where was he? He is way ahead of TW in his route running and dependability. Is he still hurt?

OP has a good point. I didn't really think Romo made very smart throws last night on several occasions.

I can't even say "oh the running game" because the Giants run game was also putrid, yet Eli was able to move up and down the field on the defense in the second half.

He is a one trick pony.

The whole point of Williams and developing him is to allow Austin in the slot with Williams outside.

He is a rookie it will take Williams time to keep learning.

As the year progresses it will become painfully obvious Tony is losing his accuracy beyond the 10-15 yd range, 2-3 passes are good the next is just plain off. This has been the case for the past 2 years. He's also not capable of throwing any type of sideline pattern, there's just too much recovery time for the DB's.

people seem to confuse arm strength with a quick release, Tony's arm is average at best, and his accuracy, that is consistent accuracy, is suffered the last few seasons. They've designed this offense with a lot of horizontal routes in a attempt to create separation, that's fine, but it takes a long time to develop those routes. they also tend to produce many injuries as you WR will get wacked. We cannot win consistently with a dink and dunk approach. 5.4 yds per attempt is nuts with the time tony had to throw. We must attack deep, and yes, we could have done that even against the defense the gmen were using.

we also must attack the outside in the running game, did you notice how well the pitches outside went last night, but alas, that's a whole other topic.

this defense will have to carry the load.

The Giants showed that you don't need a good running game in order to walk up and down the field on someone.

this is hilarious. No wonder UFCRULES loves it.

I won't bother to point out all the obvious mistakes in this post because I am not bored enough.

Beasley isn't going to be even active for game days unless there is an injury to one of the other WRs. That's what happens to #4 or #5 WRs who are too small to contribute on special teams.

I don't know if this is true. For the Cowboy's sake I hope not. I don't see the Cowboys achieving their goals with a dink-and-dunk offense.

I am a pretty big Romo non believer. But,.. He played a good game last night.

This man needs a damn running game. He has none. And , hasn't.

I still wish there was an FB back there, leading the way for Murray..

In the last 2 years, he has thrown for 9,000+ yards, over 65% completion percentage, 59 TDs and 29 INTs (2:1 ratio).

And he had CRAP for an offensive line last year and NO running game. The WORST running game in franchise history actually.

    Carry on.......

Posters should have to take a football IQ test prior to being allowed to post.

Do you even watch other NFL games?

I'm no football guru, but some things posted in this thread are ridiculous.

We won and had many positives.
    Were we perfect? No.
    Can we improve? .. sure.

We beat a good team, with a good defense, and a very good QB.

Enjoy it for a while, and then get ready for the Chiefs, ... that's how it works in the NFL.

We can still win, we just need to make teams respect the outside run, everybody is stacked inside. We've got to clean out the middle, then those dunks will turn to 20-30 yd chunks and if we clean out some of the traffic Romo can get it done.

    Dunbar could be huge.

I too do think Romo hasn't had his best game yesterday. And it concerns me because he wasn't at his best last year also. Last year everybody blamed the OL for his bad play. We can't do this for the giants game.

But i do think our problems are others. Most of our players are just being overhyped by fans and the media during the whole offseason. Dez and Murray are already AllPros, Terrance Williams could be a great one etc blabla. But our players on offense are not great players (except of Witten).

Dez ist not a great WR. He maybe will be one but he is not there. Last year he broke out on the last 8 games. It just was a logical thing that teams will give him constant double teams. Great WRs beat double teams. Dez couldnt do that yesterday. Can he do it ? We dont know. He has to learn how to play against it and only time will tell if he can take the next step to really be one of the best in the league. Rigth now he is a good WR who can be taken out of the game easily if schemed right.

Murray is nothing more then a medicore back even if people think we had a great pickup in the third round. He runs hard but to me he lacks quickness to the hole, he doesn't seem to have good vision and he doesn't move quite well. All in all a nice pickup for us but he right now is nothing special. Not the back people like to see in him.

Terrance Williams has ways to go.

Now comine this with a medicore line and i dont think it's all Romos fault that he could not find open WRs even if he had time. He could not find one because we have no one who knows to get open on a regular basis. Except Witten. He is one of the bright spots of this offense. The second one is Tyron Smith. If he plays the way he played yesterday he could develop in the LT we all hoped for when we drafted him.

All in all i think this offense was overhyped. And because of that everybody expectations where sky high. That game showed that even with a medicore backfield and non existent LBs other teams can stop our offense. So dont blame Romo for everything. The surrounding cast must play better.

    Agreed.

It's also the first game of the season. While, I am still concerned about the OL. I am sure they will gel if everyone stays healthy..

Dallas just beat a team that gives them fits and knows how to beat them. A nice job and win.

Ahhh...quoting stats......he had a great completion rate last night didn't he? but 5.4 yds per attempt, good Lord a RB can do that on a good night. With the time he had to throw even you could have accomplished that. lol

Actually Romo's accuracy during last two years has been his best, unless you are counting 2010 when he only played 6 games.

I was responding to a post about his arm and accuracy over the past 2 years. Reading is fundamental.
