If Rob really turns around the D and the team finishes strong then I think he could be gone. If Philly implodes and dump Reid then I could see Rob being considered for the job. Thoughts?

Yeah, I think they would do that. Philly fans would go nuts.

Even if the Eagles tank this year, which I don't see tehm being that bad. I just don't see them firing Reid.

Not if he's the HC here first.

You have as good a shot at that as he does.

same here...that would be akin to adultery. Does he have only a 1 year contract and are contracts for coaches binding like they for the team with players?

Whats is his deal with us? Is it only one year? Why do you guys keep talking about him leaving so soon?

You're allowed to interview for a HC position while under contract with another team.

Thank you for wildly speculating. Could you open about 20 threads and put "Rob Ryan to coach ****** next year?"

You could put the Giants, Rams, KC........

Has it occurred to anyone that maybe Rob Ryan wants to coach here as a DC for a few years? I mean, I don't think it's a stretch to make that assumption any moreso than the assumption he wants to get out of here ASAP to be a head coach.

Not only that, but if we go far enough into the playoffs no one is going to hire him anyway. Let's focus on that first.

I think Jerry breaks out the check book and pays Rob to stick around for at least another year. Super Bowl run!

I'd hardly call it wildly speculating. As close as he and his father are, I'm sure he'd love to follow in those footsteps. If reid gets the axe, Rob will be there in a hot minute.
