The majority winner of round 2 by a narrow margin was Harrison Smith, Safety out of Notre Dame. He edged out Jared Crick and Bruce Irvin.

Here are our two picks so far:

    14 - David DeCastro, G Stanford
    45 - Harrison Smith, S Notre Dame
    83 - ?

Keep in mind the two players that we drafted in the first two rounds before you choose the next player in this round and subsequent rounds as well.

This is the most interesting group I think. For me, it was between Ta'amu and one of the TEs.

I was thinking that you were getting you player list from cbssportsline.com
Is Markelle Martin ommitted due to injury?

I like our draft so far though.

I chose TE Egnew as I believe there was some report or blurb that said we had some interest in him.

I simply saw that we had addressed O-line and seconday. I thought Ta'amu represented the BPA and an area of need. Win-Win!:D

    Tough call.
I think BPA may be Kendricks, Charles, T Johnson, or Ta'amu...maybe someone else.

We need to address the pass rush and did not do it in Rd1 or 2...now I'm afraid it's too late.
Trumane Johnson may end up better than our second round pick, so we can see that Safety value can be had later possibly. So a pass rusher in Rd2 would have been nice.

We need a TE and Charles is a freak.

Kendricks will possibly go in the 2nd round, but we have 3 ILBs.

We have a Pro Bowler at Ta'amu's position but I want beef up front.

Being logical I said Trumane Johnson. But Charles, Kendrick or Ta'amu would be fine by me.

We drafted Harrison Smith in the second round, so I omitted Markelle Martin. In hindsight there are some players on this list that wouldn't fit our scheme. In the later rounds, I will have to be somewhat selective with players that will fit, and will include more BPA at positions like RB, OT and QB. I've tried to include a wide variety though. I'm glad there are a lot of people voting!

I don't think pass rush is a priority, rather it should be to take the best player available based on our moves in free agency. I think if you get complimentary pieces along our front 7, that will enhance our pass rash. Moving Ratliff to end and Ta'amu in the middle would make us a better pass rushing team in my opinion.

Seeing the options in R3 should tell fans why we dont allow them to draft for rounds 1 and 2.

The best values on the board in r3 are OGs.

This isn't even including Brandon Brooks, who will be a choice for round 4.

I took Ta'amu too, but I highly doubt they would move Rat to DE.

I don't see why not, they seem to be really stubborn about that.

Philip Blake's not in play here while 3 guards are after already voting DeCastro in the 1st? :D

Blake will be available in the 4th round for this poll.

Do you not think more guards should be included or do you think after DeCastro we'd be finished with the position? I would like some input because I'm having trouble picking players for Round 4 since there are only 20 options for the poll and if I shouldn't include guards, that would make it a lot easier.

By the time we reach the 4th round, I would think all postions are again in play...at the latest the 5th round.

Well with the amount of guards we have with us taking DeCastro, we would then have more depth than on the outsides at tackle. Here's the potential list:
    1. Brandon Brooks
    2. Kyle Wilber
    3. Jake Bequette
    4. James-Michael Johnson
    5. Chris Rainey
    6. Casey Hayward
    7. Juron Criner
    8. Josh Norman
    9. Jarius Wright
    10. Philip Blake
    11. Deangelo Peterson
    12. T.Y. Hilton
    13. Shaun Prater
    14. Lucas Nix
    15. Jonathan Massaquoi
    16. Derek Wolfe
    17. DeQuan Menzie
    18. Devon Wylie
    19. Ryan Steed
    20. Brian Linthicum
    Players I left out:
    • Cyrus Gray
    • Marcus Forston
    • Jeff Allen
    • Ryan Lindley
    • Janzen Jackson
    • Nate Potter
    • Dwight Jones
    • DaJohn Harris
    • Vontaze Burfict
    • Trevor Guyton
    • Tauren Poole

I think that if we take DeCastro in the first, then we are effectively out of the guard market for the rest of the draft. Primarily because we signed two in FA and drafted two last year.
