Agreed. There will be no wild card coming from this division. At least as of right now. The North will definitely have one. Maybe even both of them. The South will probably only have one team make it unless the Saints get real hot. They are way behind the 8ball with the Falcons 8-1 and they are 4-5. No way they catch them.

The East is pretty bad this year. Most thought it was going to be a lot more competitive than this. Especially early on when the Eagles were 3-1. Giants were rolling. Griffin was good out the gate. Then everyone fell off.

If we win enough games to win the division we will also pass a lot of teams in the NFC in front of us. Way to early to say who'll be the wild card teams.

We should be favored in 5 of the final 7 games. CLE, WAS x2, PHI, CIN

NO and Pitt lines will be determined over the next couple of weeks as the teams have been up and down. (also depends on ruthlessraper's staus)

If Dallas finishes with those 5 wins and 2 losses, they'd actually be in a pretty good spot. The divisional record would be quite solid. 9-7 is hardly a lock but 9-7 with a good divisional record gets you in most years.

Seattle has already lost to Arizona, San Francisco and St. Louis once this year. How is it an easy game when you've already lost to them? Let's say they happen to go 2-1 in those games. They still have to play the Bears. That's a likely loss. So they'd have 2 losses. I could see them losing to either Miami or the Bills. That would put them at 9-7.

No way do they go 4-1 against AZ, SF, STL, MIA, and BUFF.

Seattle is terrible on the road and quite good at home.

They have 3 games left on the road and likely finish 9-7.
They lost to ARI and STL already so can lose to anyone; especially on the road.

That team is a year away.

The next game will be telling. Miami in Miami. If they win that one they are set up for a playoff run. If they lose they will be in real trouble.

Seattle has improved a lot since earlier in the year for starters, and arizona has regressed since there 4-0 start. Buffalo and Miami are terrible, are you telling me that they can't at least get a split of those games. They have the best home field advantage in football right now, no way they lose to the rams and cardinals at home. That puts them at least 9-7, which means we could only lose one more game. If you can beat the pats and packers at home, no reason you can't beat the niners at homer too.

Seattle has done pretty well early on this year due mainly to its defense and some very fortunate breaks on big plays (Green Bay comes to mind). Seattle's opponents going forward are going to have the advantage of game film on the rookie QB's strengths and weaknesses going forward. Defenses will start to exploit that as time goes on.

And you think the bills, dolphins, rams, and cardinals will be able to do this. I don't buy seattle as a contender, but their schedule is easy enough for them to get the 6 seed.

All of Seattle's losses have been in the conference. They'd lose tie breakers to just about everyone else at 9-7.
So if Dallas loses 2 more games they likely get in over Seattle at 9-7.

Seattle could EASILY lose to both MIA and BUF because those are road games. Seattle is very poor on the road. They average like 17 PPG on the road. They have 1 road win on the entire season and that was versus CAR.
They have lost to ARI, DET and STL on the road. They really aren't good on the road.

Wow, the tides have turned such that they're virtually guaranteed to sweep a set of teams they went 0-3 against just weeks ago.

Whatever you say man. But it's funny I remember them being pretty dang good in Week 2 of the season, so if they've improved that much since, they should win out. We should put money on them for the Super Bowl as well.

And just like last year, if we don't win it, we don't deserve to be in the playoffs. It's really that simple. If this team wants it, they need to go get it. Nothing standing in their way, it's all right there in front of them.

In case you missed it the seahawks don't lose at home, will they beat the niners at home? Maybe, maybe not, but I think its pretty reasonable to think a team that beat the packers and patriots at home is going to be able to take care of the cardinals and rams. We have to finish a game ahead of them to beat them out. For them to get to 9-7, all they have to do is beat those teams at home, and get either the buffalo or the miami game.

That's what bothers me, .. we have seen this before.

It was right in front of them and they didn't seem interested.

They need to prove something this time.

Oh, they'll prove something one way or the other. Again, it's really up to them. I mean, let's face it, if this team can't string some wins together playing teams like Cleveland, Washington and Philly at home, they really are mediocre and I will have no more "what ifs" about this team.

We have all waited a long time to see this team step up.

You are right, we could be 7-5 just by taking care of business at home.
