Damn shame about Quincy. All the brains to be successful, and he wanted to burn em up smokin that ****.
Yeah, I liked Quincy. He's certainly no worse than many other QBs we had during that stretch! I thought he might develop into a good one.
Well Romo maybe fat, but at least he's not fat and stupid.
Interesting that Romo scored higher that Ivy League
How the hell can Garrett score a 36 and be absolutely clueless on game management basics, like when to use a freaking timeout or challenge a play?
All book smarts. I knew some guys at UT like this, could get a 95 on a calculus test without even studying but couldn't download a song off iTunes to save their life.
Weren't his charges green related? The sad part is that within a decade it will probably be federally legalized and be considered a medicine. Think of the careers, jobs, etc.. lost along the way. Sucks but it is was it is.
Which is no way to go through life.
It was reported by several media outlets that Quincy failed a drug test by testing positive for marijuana..............he was immediately released by the Cowboys.
I don't think the league or the Cowboys ever made a statement confirming or denying this.
Whether youre joking or for serious, this made me laugh. I didnt expect Quincy to be in double digit numbers.
At what point/year did players start studying for the Wonderlic? It wasnt always the case, so comparing scores between the pre-study and study eras is a bit flawed.
BTW, didnt Vince Young score like a 6?
Jon Machota @********** 2h
Wonderlic scores: Steve Young 33, John Elway 29, Brett Favre 22, Dan Marino 15, Terry Bradshaw 15.
Jon Machota @********** 2h
Wonderlic scores: Matthew Stafford 38, Matt Ryan 32, Philip Rivers 30, Drew Brees 28, Joe Flacco 27, Jay Cutler 26, Ben Roethlisberger 25.
they always claimed Bradshaw was dumb but as he stated, he could his name and read a paycheque so why did he care
Figured Troy would have a mid-thirties score. He's obviously intelligent, IMO. Favre and Marino's modest scores show obnoxiously talented they were.
Quincy was no damn rocket scientist, that's for sure. I don't care what he scored on the test.
You can't tell me he was smarter than Troy.
To his credit, that country lisp didn't allow him to sound very articulate.
Those must be the guys that couldnt get into A & M
The wonderlic doesn't measure smartness relative to others, necessarily. But a 30 is no joke. Scary part was Quincy had the talent too. Just couldn't stay away from drugs.
And that's no way to go through life
Jonny Football scored a 32 and led this years QB class with the high score
