Cowboys and Tony Romo reached an agreement on blockbuster 6-year extension that makes him highest paid player in team history, per sources.

Cowboys Chief Operating Officer Stephen Jones and one of Romo’s agents, CAA’s R.J. Gonser, did the record six-year deal together

    Per Adam Schefter on twitter.
And here are the numbers: Dallas is giving QB Tony Romo a six-year extension worth $108 million, per sources.

We don't know the exact numbers yet. It's probably a three year deal. No way Romo sees the entire length of this deal.

We will see. The "highest payed player in team history" is a bit scary.

I'd want to be the highest paid QB to sit behind this line.

That's for salary cap purposes. Probably a four-year deal essentially.

They stretched it out so the last couple could be voidable if needed.

The longer deal could be designed to help the team more thanhurt it. So step away from the ledge, so of you.

You knew a QB sifning a contract in 2013 is going to be the highest paid player in his team's history. That will always be the case unless you're a JAG qb.

@RapSheet: #Cowboys and Tony Romo strike a deal. Per RJ Gonser of CAA, it's 6-year extension with $55M guaranteed. More than Flacco.

@AdamSchefter: And here are the numbers: Dallas is giving QB Tony Romo a six-year extension worth $108 million, per sources.
