I believe that if they did the very maximum amount for each contract it would be 3.016M with Scandrick and 3.816M with Lee

Shame but true. Has to be frustrating for a guy like him. They have to plan ahead and not assume he will be there for 16 games every year.

This means that both contracts are now heavy towards the tail end, right? Seems like we never learn. Lee's contract especially is a little scary. Ware didn't end up with a 12m base salary as part of the original deal he signed, the management did that themselves with all the damn restructures and are now trying to act like the guy owes the team money back.

The restructuring doesn't feel as bad because of the cap expectations for 2015/2016. I'd expect the restructuring.

With Romo's restructure that would leave them only 500k over the cap.

A couple more restructures and releases frees up a good chunk of money. We can possibly make some small free agent moves. Especially the fact jerry said we are in win now mode

Win I heard that I was under the impression that we are going to make a larger move SOMEHOW.

It is Jerry so that either means a foolish trade up, or a foolish FA signing.

This doesn't mean Manziel in my eyes.

Restructuring Lee and Scandrick create 8.54 mil in caproom, add Romos 12.454 thats 20.994 cap savings. Dallas would then be 3.55 mil under the cap

Per Clarence Hill of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, the restructured contracts freed up $8.5 million in cap space – $3.75 million from Scandrick and $4.75 for Lee.

That's not counting Costa (yet), which is another $1.5M.

Oh no? Do enlighten us. A player isn't being guaranteed more money when he restructures?
