good friend of mine...a broncos fan...never heard of him.
Shepherd defensive end Shaneil Jenkins -- 6-foot-2 7/8, 281 pounds -- ran the 40-yard dash in 4.78 and 4.86 seconds. He had a 20-yard short shuttle time of 4.5 seconds. He did the three-cone drill in 7.25 seconds. He performed 24 reps of 225 pounds on the bench press. Jenkins is described as looking the part; he's got a great physique. He was very impressive in his pro-day workout, showing quickness.
He was signed as an UDFA by the Broncos this year, and was cut 4-5 days ago. Comes for a small school so he has a steep learning cure. With all that said, he's prolly right on par w Russell, Mayowa, McAdoo, Irving, ect.
Is Shaniel Jenkins Denver's next undrafted gem?
For those that wanted a piker like Freeney...
Could be a stash candidate. Physically he is intriguing. If he makes a splash play or 2 in preseason I can see him getting a PS spot
Boy, they love their projects.
We're talking about a Cowboys DE here. You might want to use a different term than stash candidate.
I see alot of soft zone with no pass rush being played this year on passing downs.
Give him a few reps at 3.tech...specs out there better than de
We should just put 11 guys in coverage
So the turn style has begun once again.
That's what Im taking about. I've always considered defensive linemen progress stoppers for the cornerbacks.
If you really want to get wild..use a CB or two and send em on a pass rush...but yeah...it's all about which team passes better..11 cbs is the best pass defense
Is this where we give Garrett props for churning the roster?
Thank God 31 other teams couldn't spot the talent this guy has.
