Walker has an uphill battle ahead of him, he has to make the most of the limited oppertunities he will get. Guys in his situation have to make quick impressions to have any chance of making the roster.

Just sign Chuck Norris, plays both O & D
On offense, defenders will simply step out of the way, he scores.
On defense, they jusy hand the ball to him, as opposed to getting hit by him, he scores.

I figured we'd sign a kicker to save Bailey's leg for the regular season. Guess we also were short of our quotient of tight end bodies.

I keep expecting them to pick up RB Josh Harris. They have room for another rb and they should be getting some more spots open when guys go on PUP.

I think they will. After they move a few to PUP list. Maybe a week or so into TC, Once Bailey gets some kicking in, then bring someone in.

They just signed the equivalent of our 2013 2nd round draft choice

Hmmm interesting, he seems to run funny though, especially on his cuts lol. Flailing his arms like a wild man.

Thought the same thing. Physical beast but A LOT of wasted motion. Very good quickness. Might be something there worth kicking the tires on.

That's a good look, Speed, but the two questions that were remaining dealt with a blocking tight end and middle linebacker. The team added a veteran, journeyman type with McClain. Since a 'weak' blocker was added at tight end, perhaps they wanted the rotational work for the linebackers and fullback is getting the stronger positional look for blocking out of the backfield in preference to an H-back role?

Walker is a pass catching phenom like Escobar? Doubt it.

    Camp body.

If the team is serious about making the 2TE thing work they need Esco to block.

I'll be witholding judgment on this guy until camp gets underway and the pads come on. The staff got a good look at Walker in June and evidently liked what they saw well enough to sign him up. Whether he turns out to be a pleasant surprise or not probably remains to be seen. He's not overly big but since blocking is mostly a matter of want-to, maybe he can help.

If, on the other hand, he turns out to be nothing more than camp fodder, it'll simply go down as due diligence. I wouldn't be surprised to see the staff go for someone on waivers if this guy doesn't pan out. You'd think there's bound to be someone available to block when the final cuts are in. Apparently, it'll take time to iron this thing out.

Pfffft. Those kickers' legs sure must take a beating during training camp. :p

Hos probably wouldn't mind if Bailey's leg just fell off.
