when does his jersey go on sale
What about the parade of bodies they brought in on the DL last year? Selvie and Hayden did well (thank god) but there were countless others that just didn't make any difference at all.
Dan Connor? Will Allen? Justin Durant?
Yes we need 8 new front seven players. But there's no use in signing guys that may not even make it out of camp, let alone be here next year.
Getting 8 new guys on the front 7 should not be looked at as a year long goal. Gradually build it up with quality players via the draft and good FA signings.
Dude had 13 tackles last year.....And can multi task.....love the signing.
I really don't know much about him. Anyone have any insight on Herring's play?
A comedy of errors, Joe Buck would say.
Can't wait for PFT to say that this is Ware's replacement if we were running the 3-4.

Will Herring is a great pickup. Former safety and a solid OLB & ST ace. Viable option to Bruce Carters 2013 troubles. NO was deep at OLB
It was almost all on special teams, so doubtful theres much insight to be had.
i am getting 2009 vibes, hope our draft is better or we are so screwed.
Something sounds/smells fishy about this signing.
Wasn't there an article that came out today about Dallas getting younger?
Mincey - 30
Herring - 31
They are younger. They lost Ware (32) and Hatch (32).
The signing makes perfect sense to me, Wilbur plays Sam with Holloman backing up Sam and MIke. You need a backup Mike at that point even if you are likely to draft one in the later rounds, getting one that is a Special Teams ace makes Herring a good fit - especially at a low salary.
I'm sure Garrett can coach him up now he will be paying more attention to defense.
These signings make sense. They are bargains and will help with depth. But the Cowboys can't shove Herring, McClain, and Mincey in my face and expect me to be happy while a franchise icon in DeMarcus Ware is gone.
At least Henry Melton is still available, but at this point I doubt Dallas gets him.
I know zip, nada, zero, ling.
Nonsense. He is a backup and has been most of his career. If he is an "option" to Bruce Carter, we might as well cut Carter right now.
Now this is how you criticize.
So birddog26 approves, as does Broaddus. I'm sold.
Shots Fired! Shots fired!
