    Who here can tell me the real purpose of the offensive line "hitch" that was the trademark of the Cowboys during the Landry era?

    They were thinner back then. Today's o-line fatties couldn't keep that up for an entire game.

    I had read that the purpose of the offensive line "hitch" was to block the view of movement in the backfield (as well as to get the OL thinking as one uint).
