    IRVING, Texas - Paul Pasqualoni's job of repairing the Cowboys defense looks a little more imposing after the first full day for the just-promoted line coach.

    Amid news that starting defensive end Marcus Spears and rookie backup Sean Lissemore will be out at least a month because of their respective injuries, the Cowboys are faced with bringing in reinforcements this week. On Tuesday they were close to signing free agent Jeremy Clark, a 6-3, 295-pound lineman who played four games for the New York Giants in 2008, but hasn't been on a roster this season after being cut out of training camp by Arizona.
