    EmailPrintFacebookShareThisIRVING, Texas - I've been asking myself this same question over and over since about the second quarter Sunday, when it was glaringly obvious we were watching a different team than the one going through the motions the previous three weeks.

    What made Sunday's Cowboys so much better? What separated them from the versions of themselves who had been outscored 80-24 the previous two weeks, the ones who had given up 31 straight points after Tony Romo broke his collarbone on Monday Night Football against the very same Giants in Week 7?

    Was it the coaching, or was it the change? Is Jason Garrett really the tactical and motivational whiz that improbable November wins on the road against the perceived NFC's best would suggest? Or did the team simply wake up this week in the shock of Wade Phillips' firing?
