40% of your income?
Exactly. In the long run, we'll end up saving money.
I am not saying lets pay ZERO taxes. I'm saying lets clean this corrupt spending up. Why keep penalizing me and others? I still haven't gotten a good reason for my taxes going up.
I'm not sure of the exact number, but it's damn close, between 35-40%
My workers comp hurts a lot too. I pay $90 per $100. That sucks too.
I pay around 34 percent in INCOME taxes right now. Of coarse we pay another tax anytime we buy something, we pay social security, state, property, gas taxes etc.... Tolls for roads our tax dollars paid to build.
There are so many hidden taxes these days it is impossible to keep track of all of them. 20 percent rental car tax? There was a time when they couldnt tax services.
By the time I get done paying all my taxes it is easily 50% of the money I make.
It's not as bad a Horse tainer though. My uncle trains race horses and he pays $110 per $100.
I understand what you're saying, we can do better than our current system and end up saving money in the long run if we stop having people's only option if they don't have insurance and get sick is to go to an emergency room somewhere and we eat the cost in our premiums down the line.
If we can prevent that, we'll improve costs and the general health of the populace.
And yes, your tax dollars will go to help those that might not be able to afford it. So will mine. I'm okay with it because we're going to end up paying for it one way or another. I'd rather go the more efficient and cheaper route over the long haul.
Like I said, the things people don't see when they don't own a business.
IDK man some of the luxuries we have in America would be lost if we miss go down to 10%-20% don't you think?
I believe McCain specifically mentioned Ireland which is interesting because they have socialized medicine and education.
Like I said, if tax money was spent wisely, maybe we wouldn't lose luxuries.
Our rates like 33%/35%/38%, which some argue causes companies to go overseas. I'm not certain about international tax, but European countries have a lower rate... lets say 30%. Ireland was mentioned in both debates as being around 11%/14%.
But! And this is an important BUT, here, corporations are allowed many deductions which in reality reduce that rate significantly to something like lets say your 35%-> you can get it to go to 28%. So 38% is high on paper and something to complain about on a message board.
So what areas are tax money being spent needlessly ?
When does our choice to decide how we live our lives come in to play?
I hear what your saying I just dont believe the government should be stepping into our daily lives and dictating how much to pay our employees, which benefits to provide etc..
I dont believe that having big brother step in is the best answer, history has shown it usually ends us costing us more money for an inferior product.
35+% is a reality, bud. Sorry to tell you.
thanks. found this on wiki:
goes from 0 to 55% personal income tax (55% in Sweden)
Ummmm. Obamas $3million overhead projector for some establishment in Illinois.
Researching a bears DNA.
There are countless stupid waste of money black holes out there. We probably don't know about half of them.
Depends on your company's taxable income champ.
Lets say you are a corporation have taxable income of 0 to $50,000 your rate is 15%.
34% to 75k-100k
39% to 100k-335k
34% to 335k-10m
..ill stop there..
There's plenty of things you can do to reduce your taxes..
that doesn't make sense
why is 39% for 100k-335k yet 335k+ is 34% which is equal to 75k-100k ?
