I got a chance to watch this guy in Washington. This dude can lay the wood. He is a ball hawk and knows what do with it after he takes it away. I think he will be around for our 2nd round pick. Would be someone I'd love to have!!!

That guy is a biscuit away from being a LB.

Yeah, not the type of guy I would want. I think he has a pretty good shot to be a productive player, but I think he's a SS and not a FS.

Bailey, Buccanon, or Pryor. Ward late although not sure about another possible development player.

Never seen him play, but I am highly in favor of adding an impactful presences in our secondary. If a grade out as at least a second round player I won't be opposed to it, it look lke he plays with a chip on his shoulder.

I haven't seen the great play from Church that would lead me to believe that an upgrade would be a bad thing.

No player on the D is safe IMHO, if a better player is there don't think you're "set" at a defensive position

I agree, he's a JAG, but a pass covering, play making FS would be a bigger upgrade IMO.

A few have called Bucannon a Kam Chancellor clone.

Would love Bucannon on our team. If i was the opposing team I woulnt fear our safeties. And that's what we need. Some nastiness. However, we definitely need to shore up our DL and get a strong pass rush for this type of safety to work.

I agree with that. A FS is a bigger need, but with Church as the starting SS, the position will always be in need of an upgrade.

IMO he's best suited as a WLB.

Deone Bucannon - DB - Cougars
Washington State S Deon Bucannon will have to work on his pass coverage skills at the next level, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Although Bucannon accumulated six interceptions for the Cougs, his work was most impressive in the box. "Like [Louisville's Calvin] Pryor, Bucannon is known as a big hitter," wrote Tyler Dunne of the Journal Sentinel. "On the downside, he didn't cover receivers often in college." Bucannon isn't in the class of Pryor or Alabama's Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, but he's sure to benefit slightly from the NFL's increased focus on big-hitting safeties as the league races to copycat Seattle's blueprint.
