    After their first playoff win in 12 years, the Cowboys plotted Super Bowl XLV as their destination for 2010.

    But one problem: The wheels fell off before they reached the midway point. Eight games in, they are stranded at the hysterical marker on Highway 1-7.

    Instead of gearing up for the tough second half, owner Jerry Jones made a drastic turn, telling coach Wade Phillips, in effect, that he was going to have to stop this car and let him out. Offensive coordinator Jason Garrett now has the keys.

    For Garrett to shed interim from his title, he must turn around one of the most disappointing seasons in franchise history.
