    ** The defense had to repeat a play a few times. After leaving Martin Rucker alone in the end zone on a mixup on one play, Sean Lee ran into DajLeon Farr the second time. On the third snap, he made his way through traffic and knocked down the pass to Rucker. Later, Terrell Hudgins was on the receiving end of two TD throws. Wade Phillips wasn't going to move on to the next play until the defense made a play on the ball. Alan Ball came up with the pick on the next snap.

    ** Hudgins had an active practice, displaying strong hands. He rarely double catches the ball. He pulled down a high Stephen McGee throw on Terence Newman and leaped for a grab over the middle on linebacker Bradie James. He appeared to hurt his right ankle on a deep ball while competing with Jamar Wall.

    ** Romo's best throw might have been on a pass to the slot to Sam Hurd. Needing to create just a little more room to the inside Romo pump-faked to the flat to move corner Teddy Williams and give Hurd the space necessary for the catch.
