Dallas Cowboys cornerback Bryan McCann has hired Arlington-based attorney Brody Shanklin to represent him after he was arrested on a charge of public intoxication last weekend, according to a statement released Tuesday by the player's agent John Biggins.

McCann, 23, was taken into custody at 2:30 a.m. last Saturday around the 1400 block of Main Street near a downtown nightclub. He was sent to the city detoxification center but was released later that morning at 11:36.

I wonder how McCann is expecting to win this? Seems lke a lot of he-said, he-said ... and it's hard to get past a police officer's determination. Now if there's a blood test that shows his alcohol level then that would be different but there's been no mention of that.

These youngsters need to take a low profile, and stay out of the public's eye. The media is relentless when it comes to a Cowboy misbehaving.

Jerry's gonna need to hire more 'babysitters' to follow him, Dez Bryant and a few other players around this season.

What? The cop didn't even check the box saying McCann was a danger to himself or others, the reason why he was arrested in the first place.

This will be dropped in about a week and will never be heard again. PI's are municipal tricks to get more dough. He'll pay a few hundred in court fees and it'll be done.
