There had been talk about the Cowboys bringing in Emmitt Thomas as secondary coach.
    Not going to happen.
Calvin Watkins just called to report that Wade Phillips said the Cowboys have been denied permission by the Falcons to talk to Thomas. Atlanta apparently will elevate Thomas to assistant head coach.

jerry gray anyone...bring him and williams on..

Wait a minute... Atlant doesn't have a head coach yet... how can they give Emmitt Thomas the title of assistant head coach when they don't have a head coach? Should the head coach be assembling his own staff?

Only Jerry does stupid things like that....

Looks like Emmitt Thomas is a "make good" for selling them on Zimmer.

    Too bad.

Go get Mel phillips .......... it's the obvious choice. He's free and his credentials speak for themselves.

I like him, but I'm rooting for Dennis Thurman first. Emmitt Thomas would have been a great hire. Truly a respected Coach.
