When training camp began, Doug Free was viewed by many outsiders as a huge question as he took over the left tackle spot from Flozell Adams.

Until he can do it over the course of 16 games there will be questions. Don't get me wrong I Free and think he will do just fine but the key to any success is being consistent and the only way you can prove your consistency is getting the job done week in and week out

Free's camp performance makes Jamie Dukes is a sad panda.

Then we'll have the folks that say, "Well can he do it two years in a row?"

I agree that it doesn't take 16 games to decide on free, but it certainly takes more than a handful of snaps in a few preseason games where defenses aren't throwing out all the blitzes and stunts etc.

I think Free will be OK, I'm not really worried about him.

I think he will too, but I have to say he still has to prove it. Performing consistently over a number of regular season games is the real test.
