Losing Dez Bryant will undoubtedly have an effect on the Cowboys offense and return game.

Players of Bryant's size and skill level don't come around often.

With Monday's surgery on Bryant's fractured right ankle ending his season, the rookie finishes with 45 receptions for 561 yards and six touchdowns.

He also added 215 yards and two touchdowns on 15 punt returns.

Taking that type of impact from a team will be noticeable.

"He's just a wild guy out there," Cowboys special teams captain Sam Hurd said. "He has a great time and he goes hard on every play. With him out you take a big, explosive player away from us."

Hurd is one player that will receive extra reps because of Bryant's absence. Hurd has seven catches this season for 63 yards at the receiver position.
