    COWBOYS OBSERVATION DECK
Here’s what stood out from Day 2 of Cowboys’ training camp practices Tuesday in Oxnard,Calif.:
Starting center Phil Costa came out during the “blue practice” for younger players and worked on shotgun snaps with backup QB Kyle Orton.
    • TE Jason Witten made a one-handed catch of a Tony Romo pass with LB Dan Connor blanketing him in team drills.
    • DT Clifton Geathers had a would-be sack of QB Kyle Orton in team drills. Later, Geathers left the field alongside an athletic trainer holding his left hip but returned a short time later to finish practice.
    • CB C.J. Wilson blitzed and came free for a would-be sack of QB Rudy Carpenter.
    • The linebackers went through a drill in which they quickly circled around a huge loop – think giant hula-hoop – and turned the corner before hitting a tackling dummy.
    • During the first play of team drills when the players were going all-out, LB DeMarcus Ware blew past LT Tyron Smith for a would-be sack of Tony Romo.
