    If the Cowboys break out of their 8-8 doldrums, if the team posts its first winning season since 2009, owner Jerry Jones concedes his insistence that Jason Garrett call the plays in addition to being the head coach may not have been the best move.

    Garrett has called the plays for the Cowboys since he joined the staff as offensive coordinator in 2007. He retained those duties after he took over as head coach in the middle of the ’10 season because Jones liked that model.
