Columnist Jean-Jacques Taylor answered your questions in his weekly e-mail newsletter - Inside the Dallas Cowboys. Here are some highlights.

A word of advice to Jerry Jones : This is not the year to show off your brilliance as a general manager and try to outsmart the rest of the NFL.

This is the year to keep it simple.

All you have to do is draft the best offensive lineman available – USC’s Tyron Smith – with the ninth pick of the first round to solidify the offensive line.

That’s the smart thing to do.

Actually I see Dallas taking a OL in the late 1st round and his name will be Derrick Sherrod. He is by far the best pass blocker of the OTs.

So say a trade down with New England giving our 1st and 40th for their #17, #28 and #60.

Take JJ Watt or Cameron Jordan at 17 and Sherrod at #28 then at #60 a CB or DT or OG.

I seem to remember that JJT wrote a column "advising" Jerry to trade for Galloway regardless of the cost. Whatever dude . . .

The game is won in the trenches. It wouldn't break my heart if we go OL and DL thru the first 4 rounds.

Jerry's got wiggle room here, he can trade back and still get a good o-lineman,,, Tyron isn't all that impressive and Pouncy would make a very good pick IMO.

If Jerry stays put I want him to take a DL or Amakumura,,,

    Preach it, JJT.

    "It's the o-line, stupid"!

Tyron Smith is a flat out stud.

Tyron is most likely going to be sitting on a tee, don't blow it Jerry.

I feel the Cowboys are the best example in recent memory of the adage that the game is won and lost in the trenches.

This team has as many 'shiny objects' as any in the league and what has all of that gotten them?

    1 playoff win.

I think that the perennial playoff teams continue to invest in their lines year after year. And that plays a big role in why they continue to have success.

I'd love to see a significant investment made on both lines as well.

I think it is important that we address the OL however I also think if you get the chance to trade back to the middle of the 1st you can still get a top OL and another top pick to help address other needs as well.
