    IRVING — The drumbeat for change drones on. What does Jason Garrett intend to do after the worst loss in his tenure?

    Well, here’s what he won’t do.

    The Cowboys’ head coach won’t rip the call sheet away from Bill Callahan and direct the offense himself, although he makes it clear he could if he thought it best. He won’t demand drastic changes on the defensive side of the ball and expresses the utmost confidence in coordinator Monte Kiffin and his staff.

    As for those who espouse the theory that the Cowboys quit during the 49-17 beat-down, Garrett doesn’t buy it. What he saw was a tired team thinned by injuries overpowered at the end.

    What Garrett will do during the bye week is make sure the Cowboys do a better job of getting the ball to receiver Dez Bryant.
