IRVING -- On the same day receiver Miles Austin and fullback Tony Fiammetta returned to the field, Cowboys outside linebacker DeMarcus Ware was one of seven players not seen during the portion of practice Wednesday that was open to the media.

Ware suffered a stinger during the third quarter of the Cowboys' 19-13 overtime loss and was not spotted on the field during a frigid morning when rookie right tackle Tyron Smith was going through drills with his right hand heavily wrapped.

Among Ware's teammates who were not participating in practice were running back Phillip Tanner (hamstring), quarterback Jon Kitna (back), safety Danny McCray, tight end Martellus Bennett (ribs), receiver Laurent Robinson (shoulder), and nose tackle Josh Brent (knee).
