He will be gone. No doubt in my mind.
And there you go.....If the guy could run it would be one thing. But the guy is always hurt. I'm done with players that think if they make it though training camp and are on the final 53 then it's ok to collect checks while sitting out.
Because he isn't guaranteed a thing. If he is cut and has to hit the open market he has no built up credit with a new team. Do you think he gets more on the open market than he would get taking a 50-75% pay cut?
If he's willing to renegociate and take a pay cut, he stays. Otherwise, let him go and develop the talent we have and maybe find a cheaper option in FA/draft.
After T Will fails to produce like every second WR put here, as he started to do by mid-season, once teams adjust and our playbook won't do anything to create mismatches, whose going to be next in line? Amendola, Austin... Crayton and Roy Williams.. Ogletree... The list goes on... I guess we need two Dez's starting
The guy is strong and hard to tackle. The fact that this team couldn't figure out how to use him when healthy is all you need to know. At least BC was trying to move him to the slot years later. Too bad he wasn't healthy.
He needs to go. He can't even be relied on to block on the outside.
He checked out a couple years ago
Miles Austin is toast in Dallas...
Before the season was over, I'd assume he was gone. Now that it looks like there will be little to no change, I think he stays.
The guy can't stay healthy. No sense keeping him on the roster.
This will be a tough one, and I can see the points on both sides, but at the moment I'm thinking he ends up a June 1st cut. I think this past season was really do or die for him and it just didn't work out.
And despite all of the flaws this team has, they have been decent at developing WR's recently. Beasley keeps getting better, Williams was one of the best rookie wide outs in the league this past year, and Harris is decent too. I don't see any reason why this team won't think they can replace Austin's production with either a draft pick or even someone they've been developing on the practice squad.
I think we should ask The Clash.
I don't care if we have T-Will...if we're there at 16 and Sammy Watkins or Kelvin Benjamin is for some reason available, I take him.
Imagine having two Dez Bryants?
Two thugs? Oh noez! Oh the humanity!
Turning 30 years old this year, injury problems, hasn't been relevant since he got his big deal. I'd rather give his roster spot to a young guy to be honest.
Notice Stephen said "had a great career with us".............as in past tense..............seems like the decision is already made.
He will never wear the star again.
