JMO, I want to stay away from a 350 pound guard. I like the 3 beside Glenn as well as Kevin Zeitler (G, Wisconsin).

How is the 300lb guards working out ? The push up the middle has been weak this year.

I like the weight of the offensive like something like this:

    315, 340, 330, 340, 315

Light and athletic on the outside, power on the inside. Creates a nice pocket and is very effective in the running game.

Keleche Osimele (sp?) OG from Iowa State is considered a 1-2 round prospect. 6'5, 350ish.

I would rather have very strong 300 pounds than fat slow 350 pound OGs and Center. What I want is a 315-330 light footed strong agilty OG and C.
That would be Konz, Zeitler, Brewster, and DeCastro. I want an OG that can do it all.

Also how was our run game with Bigg at RG and Guorde last year. Wasn't alot better.

I don't mind 350 pound linemen as long as they can move. I dont want big fat slow guys that can't get out in space or up in the second level.

there's a whole range in between the 300 lb guards we have now and overweight guys that weigh just about 350, so there's no reason to have one or the other.

Philly may be #1 in rushing but it isn't because their olinenen. They are just as bad as us in short yardage situations. Overall, better run blocking, buy Vick has everything to do w that ranking.

Brewster at Ohio State is worth watching, in my opinion.

Generally speaking, few interior offensive linemen get drafted in the first round... so I propose changing the parameters a bit, and consider interior linemen who might be drafted in the first TWO rounds... first, the seniors:

    Ben Jones, C/OG, Georgia

    Michael Brewster, C/OG, Ohio State

Cordy Glenn, OG, Georgia (this guy is likely to be a first round pick, even a top 10 pick)

    Kevin Zeitler, OG, Wisconsin

Then there are 2 underclassmen who might come out:

    David DeCastro, OG, Stanford

    Peter Konz, C, Wisconsin

And that's about it for interior line prospects in the first two rounds... of that group, I'm with Hos, gimme Konz and/or Zeitler...

Glenn moves awfully well for a 350 pounder, and IMO would fit the Cowboys' scheme nicely...

Big isn't bad, pal, big and slow is...

I think it's revealing that the Boys just added two interior offensive linemen who are both over 320 pounds... this suggests that the coaching staff agrees with you about that...

I don't think he's got the foot speed to succeed in the Cowboys' scheme... he fits the mold of a Steelers' offensive linemen more, IMO...
