With 4 Juniors already declaring for the draft, this upcoming WR class is starting to look like a deep one. It's not our most pressing need obviously, but I think we'll end up drafting one somewhere between the 3rd-6th round.

Here's a list of the top available WR's thus far. Who do you guys like/hope we draft?

    1. Tavon Austin | 5'9, 174 pounds | Wide receiver | West Virginia
    2. Cobi Hamilton | 6'3, 209 pounds | Wide receiver | Arkansas
    3. Aaron Dobson | 6'2, 205 pounds | Wide receiver | Marshall
    4. Terrance Williams | 6'3, 205 pounds | Wide receiver | Baylor
    5. Quinton Patton | 6'2, 195 pounds | Wide receiver | Louisiana Tech
    6. Tavarres King | 6'1, 192 pounds | Wide receiver | Georgia
    7. Erik Highsmith | 6'3, 190 pounds | Wide receiver | North Carolina
    8. Keenan Davis | 6'3, 215 pounds | Wide receiver | Iowa
    9. Marcus Davis | 6'4, 232 pounds | Wide receiver | Virginia Tech
    10. Aaron Mellette | 6'4, 220 pounds | Wide receiver | Elon
    11. Ryan Swope | 6'0, 206 pounds | Wide receiver | Texas A&M
    12. Dan Buckner | 6'3, 220 pounds | Wide receiver | Arizona

    1. Justin Hunter | 6'4, 200 pounds | Wide receiver | Tennessee
    2. Keenan Allen | 6'3, 206 pounds | Wide receiver | California

    3. Robert Woods | 6'1, 190 pounds | Wide receiver | Southern California
    4. DeAndre Hopkins | 6'1, 200 pounds | Wide receiver | Clemson
    5. Da'Rick Rogers | 6'3, 205 pounds | Wide receiver | Tennessee Tech
    6. Marquess Wilson | 6'4, 183 pounds | Wide receiver | Washington State
    7. Stedman Bailey | 5'10, 195 pounds | Wide receiver | West Virginia
    8. Cordarrelle Patterson | 6'3, 205 pounds | Wide receiver | Tennessee
    9. Kenny Stills | 6'1, 190 pounds | Wide receiver | Oklahoma
    10. Jordan Matthews | 6'3, 205 pounds | Wide receiver | Vanderbilt

I don't know, but I do agree with you that we will draft one in the mid to later rounds if the opportunity present itself for a steal.

    I wouldn't

That's 1-5 right there, and UDFA can be #6

Not to mention we have Witten and Hanna at TE

I wouldn't take one in the first 4 rounds unless there was an absolute steal on the board. I'd rather focus on the trenches if there is value when we are on the clock.

We already have Harris and Beasley that can start stepping up, even when Austin is injured.

Sign a UDFA or a cheap FA instead of wasting a draft pick on a WR.

only wr I would want is a 5'9 to 6'0 quick and fast wr that is a threat to take it to the house like wallace, desean or percy. Any of those guys available in the this draft? Not in the first or second round. Unless we are planning on getting rid of miles austin which I doubt.

Markus Wheaton might be obtainable in the 3rd, although I feel like he is bound to rise unless a lot more Juniors decide to come out early. He's approximately 6'0, good concentration through the catch and pretty good route running. If not for his slight stature he'd be getting much more attention. He has got good long speed as can be seen from this video of him beating de'anthony thomas in the 100m. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PrSd7wOILoE

I'm a fan the Packer model -- draft a WR in the 2nd or 3rd round at least every other year whether you think you need one or not.

It's a passing league and you can never have enough WRs.

    That approach has given them:

    Greg Jennings (2nd)
    James Jones (3rd)
    Jordy Nelson (2nd)
    Randall Cobb (2nd)

I see a skill guy in the first 3 rounds if they draft their board. Miles Austin is getting older, has a high price tag, and is nicked up alot. I'm in favor of drafting the board. It has brought Lee, Carter and Murray the last few years.

Has been compared to Mike Wallace. Team could use a guy with scarry deep speed.

A guy I could see working on the slot or outside equally well is Ellington.

We could use a burner, somebody who clocks a sub 4.4 40 and who has good hands.

I think we need another big receiver to play on the outside. We already have 3 slot receivers on the team in Harris, Beasly, and Austin(He plays best in the slot).

We have a lot of other positions we need other than a WR. I would very disappointed if we drafted one before the 5th round, but knowing JERRAH we will probably trade our 1st 2 picks for Tavon Austin.

I take him in a heartbeat. I'll try to find out if he's going to declare.

I think if Da'Rick Rogers falls to the 4th, he'd be good value even with all the red flags. I think he'll go somewhere in the third though, maybe even the 2nd with a good showing at the combine.

Intriguing talent but how bad of a guy do you have to be as a high profile talent to get kicked out of an SEC school that isnt Vanderbilt? I thought short of committing murder it was almost impossible for an SEC football player to get kicked out of school.

If Patterson is there in the 3rd-4th round, you have to take him. Too much potential
