Dream would be for Barron, Cox, and DeCastro to all still be there at 14.

Nightmare would be for Barron, Cox, and DeCastro to all be gone which is looking like it might be and Dallas gets Brockers or Poe.

If Barron, Cox and DeCastro are gone it might mean that Kuechly or Ingram are there. Both would be infinitely better picks then Brockers or Poe.

Since Spencer signed the franchise tag, I don't think we'll take a OLB/DE tweener with the first pick.

I would have absolutely no qualms about taking Kuechly, as I seem him as a top 10 player in this draft.

I would also rather have Coples over Brockers.

I am hearing nothing but absolute great things about Bruce carter..there is no room for Kuechly..

    I'd take Brockers or Poe

I think Kuechly is this years Aaron curry. How do you have over 100 tackles and no FF?

Ingram has just as many question marks as brockers.

    Thursday will be interesting.

I'd see if we could trade down a couple of spots and snatch up Mercilus.

Having all three, Cox/Barron/DeCastro, available could also be a nightmare, maybe not for us but for whoever makes that final call.

If the above is how things shake out, Floyd would still be on the board, and we could just trade down to Cleveland for a nice little ransom :) Even nightmare scenario could turn good, if the people left are highly rated enough by other teams. All it means for all our targets getting taken is that other teams targets are still on the board.

I guess if I had to stay at 14 I'd look at Kirkpatrick at CB.

As for DL, I'd look to Wolfe in Round 2, or maybe Still drops.

In any case, I think I can get a very good DL in Round 2.

My problem with Kuechly is then you just gave up on Carter. We just signed Connor, and have Lee and have Carter.

my nightmare is having to pick from the winners of teh underwear olympics and the drug cases:

    Janoris Jenkins

What a crappy spot to be in there ...

At that point i reach and get Konz or the Tackle from Georgia.

If that "nightmare" happened, you grab Coples, far and away the best defensive player in this draft, and laugh all the way to a dominant defense.

Dream: We trade down and stockpile a bunch of picks from the Browns or Bengals and fill all our holes on Defense.

Nightmare: With Barron & Decastro on the board, Goddell comes to the podium with the 14th pick and announces we selected Dontari Poe.

Kuechly is a lot of fun to watch play. He's got that instinct about him on diagnosing plays. He moves very well through traffic. He sheds blockers extremely well. I really love watching good ILB play and the idea of having him and Lee both on a team would be awesome.

Ingram doesn't have any question marks in my mind. I don't see how you can make any comparison there with Brockers, whose first big question mark is a lack of production in college. You can't say Ingram didn't produce.

if the choice is Brockers or Poe, i hope to heck we trade back. I'm afraid both of those guys could bust.

I'm not sure about having a dominant defense but I do agree with you, you take Coples.
