Yea that is a good point.
I thought that was supposed to be a strength of jason though.
He was supposed to understand the insanity and flourish in it.
Did y'all know Japan bombed Pearl Harbor?
you need to hush. someone complained bout it and we're trying to remove it from reality.
That was germany
no. germany took out the saxons.
You think Garretts a show biz type? Philipps, Parcells?
Throw Mike Zimmer in there.
No crap. I don't even know why some of you guys want Gruden here, he's been in the booth for years for a reason.
Peter King said it so it must be true!
Lol, true. And I really like and respect King, but this is totally an opinion, no proof. Jerry likes the show, circus, whatever you want to call it, but none of his head coaches were what I would call exactly glitzy.
As long as Lovie gets a good OC, I'm sold. That was his downfall in Chicago... Mike Martz post-Rams success, is Jason Garrett part 1.
This right here, i.e. it's all about Romo. We can maximize Romo though, provided our OC is legit. I have not heard of anything about Lovie that he messes with QBs or tries to interfere in the offense.
Never thought he would. While there may be a large group that wants Garrett gone I have felt Jerry would give Garrett the time. Time may be running out for Garrett but he will get this year to save his job.
I haven't either, and of course I'd much rather have Lovie than Garrett even with the same staff we have. But to really get us going, he'd have to have a top OC to go with him.
Now say Garrett had been fired this year and we'd gotten Lovie and Norv? Oh yeah. That would be perfect. But who knows who would be available next year. And Lovie never found a top OC in all his time in Chicago -- and their offense showed it.
Yes, this is my issue. When I think Lovie Smith, the OC is what I can't get my head around.
The thing is, I'm not sure if he needs a top OC, as long as Romo is here, only because I believe so much in Romo being potentially a HoF QB. The turnovers Lovie generates with his defenses, provided the trend continues, will give the offense plenty of scores with a half-way decent OC.
Jason is just so bad, he is not even in the half-way decent category...
Better than any plan jerry has had in 17 years.
Right, but I'd rather have Lovie recruiting an OC here...with the ones that were available this year vs. Garrett. Garrett doesn't want anyone who can take his job. Lovie isn't built like that. The Bears just always went for guys who never fit the talent. A lot of that was on their GM too.
Peter King said that as part of his speculation which the club shot down. Perception is not reality as much as people seem to act like it is.
