Irvin was pretty involved with Dez early on. Jay is heavily involved currently.

Maybe they just don't ask you, Emmitt.

    So forth.

Emmitt should register that as a trade mark.

I think dallas alumni need to be involved in terms of carrying on tradition and giving life advice to young players... but I dont think they should be involved with coaching, times have changed, and ex players dont have great track records as coaches.

cause they want to push the anti-jones gets hit crap so they don't actually have to put thought into writing.

it sucks, but hey, people eat that **** up and repost like the plague. when people quit eating the crap, they'll stop crapping.

Or it simply is someone with a differing point of view than you.

it's directed and stupid. you ask why jones is being stupid and you get the answer. an unbiased question would be "tell me how you see the relationship? not "why is it xyz".

could a lawyer EVER ask "tell me why your client is guilty" and get away with it? no. why? cause the question is leading, and again, directional.

it caters to the stupid with an agenda who feel better about themselves cause a reporter was "man" enough to ask why jones is stupid.

    not, let's talk about jones.

you can have any view you damn well please. but if you think the question wasn't designed to cater to the hate crowd, then you must be the leader of said crowd.

    back to ignore for you.

Emmitt sounds a little butt hurt. We have ex players involved in the orginization. Irvin is always there. Jay is there every training camp. Nate has involvment in the orginization. Hell the hc and asst dl coach are ex cowboy players. I believe big e did work with the ol and still might.

I hear you and am a big believer in current members of the team understanding the greatness they are associated with by simply donning the Cowboy jersey. A message from a vet like Irvin about the standard they need to REGAIN would go a long way. If it is a cupcake, "make you feel superior JUST BC you are a Cowboy bc of historical greatness blah blah" I could see that being detrimental to some of the more immature younger players.

I think the right message would be, "As of right now, you have lost the shine that we gained while winning games/SBs. That respect must be regained bc you no longer are simply admired for being a Dallas Cowboy able to live off the success we accomplished. You are seen as an underachieving unit yet to win anything meaningful. You are not the Dallas Cowboys of the past...you are perennial media jokes. Are you ready to rid that label and enjoy the fruits of your hard work one receives while winning as America's Team? I was able to experience that wonderful luxury and wish I could relay that euphoric, once in a lifetime experience to you, but it is only something that can be experienced for yourself through playoff success." Would sting the complacent vets (in a good way) and possibly humble the immature younger players. I could see Mike pulling off something that bold but doubt that is the reason ex players would be invited in the first place;)

Or, it was am excerpt from a longer conversation that led up to the leading question which is still opposed to your agenda, thus you find it offensive and call people stupid who don't agree..

"What is the lover affair" is a leading question, don't care when asked.

Myy agenda is to see all sides objectively. I don't give an unholy horse **** if you love or hate Jones. But to get a shot in and giggle is Jr high.

    Grow up
