Remember Emmitt Smith's fast start in '95 when he rushed for 17 TD's in the first 10 games? That was a record for the most rushing TD's in the first 10 games of the season, breaking some guy named Jim Brown's record (1958).

In '96 Terry Allen also rushed for 17 TD's in the first 10 games, tying Emmitt's record. That stood until today (with Terrell Davis getting 16 in '98 the nearest challenge; Priest Holmes had "only" 14 TD in his first 10 games in 2003, on his way to 27 TD's for the season).

Shaun Alexander rushed for an 8 yd TD in the 2nd Q, for his 18th TD, with the game at halftime now. Today is Seattle's 10th game.

    More stat overkill.
    Oh well...
    Emmitt still rocks!
