ARLINGTON, Texas -- Fragile Felix Jones finds himself as the only healthy running back on the Cowboys’ roster.

DeMarco Murray, who seized the lead horse role in record-setting fashion when Jones went down with a high ankle sprain, is done for the season after fracturing his right ankle. Rookie reserve Phillip Tanner was put on injured reserve with a strained hamstring earlier this week.

The Cowboys will scour the NFL scrap heap for some running back depth, but the load rests squarely on Jones’ shoulders now.

Jones, who has always been more dynamic as a change-of-pace back, seemed up to the task for most of Sunday night. He had his third career 100-yard rushing game, gaining 106 yards on 16 carries.

    16-106 (6.6 YPC)

    22 touches 137 total yards (6.22 YPT)

    Left that out, huh?

They only thing suspect here is your ability to accurately and objectively cover this player. Just another malicious case of defamation by ignoring the facts on the field about this player...

Did Adrian Peterson miss his third game with a high ankle sprain?

Instead of defaming Felix Jones, you should be asking why the player only rushed the football 6 times against Arizona when he averaged 6.0 YPC. (6-36).

By the way, Rafael Vela (Cowboys Nation) stated that Pierre-Paul, the best player on the field on defense last night, threw Fiammetta to the side on the bend-L play (2nd and 5).

Also, you left out Jones' 16-148-1 LG 73T playoff game... Jones has 8 explosive games where he just missed or was close to 100 yards rushing, but he shared the football with at least Barber.

    9-62-1 (6.9 YPC) LG 22
    6-76-1 (12.7 YPC) LG 60T
    9-96-1 (10.7 YPC) LG 33T
    7-96-1 (13.7 YPC) LG 56
    8-94 (11.8 YPC) LG 40
    7-68-1 (9.7 YPC) LG 46T (Team's leading rusher)
    15-91-1 (6.1 YPC) LG 49T
    11-81 (7.4 YPC) LG 20

If I was Felix Jones, I would never talk to any of you, ever.

I forgot some very good Felix Jones games. In fact, here they are, but it will not matter to the biased, extremely suspect people in the Dallas media and some of the delusional fans.

    22-83 2010 Colts

While you spontaneously combusted at your computer over a dime a dozen player like Tashard Choice, Felix Jones did the dirty work by running inside during that game. This game was better than Chris Johnson's game at the Colts in 2010. Again, see the right side of the offensive line...If DeMarco Murray did that, you and the Dallas media would throw him a parade.

    2010 Redskins

    12-70 (5.8 YPC) 14 touches 117 total yards

    2010 @ Giants

    17 touches 136 total yards 71T (nothing but a long hand-off and a 71 yard bomb)

    2010 Saints

    20 touches 113 total yards

    @Arizona 2010

    16-77 (4.8)

None of you (at have the ethical guts to challenge Jason Garrett about why a hot Felix Jones (6.0 YPC) didn't get more than 6 rushes in that Arizona football game.

I don't know if its worse that you're arguing with yourself or that you are on the defensive in the argument.

And there was that one touchdown he handed them with the fumble pass.We must have practiced that to dark.Did you see how smooth the transfer was. That was almost as good as Romo's twirl around safety and of course the kicker went south again.

I like how you leave his fumble completely out of it. Love Felix, but he's no Murray and that huge fumble cost us the game.

Except the Giants didn't get a TD.

No it's not. That fumble cost us 3 points which show much we lost by.

That's not really why we lost the game though. We were still up 12 with 5 minutes left and had multiple chances to seal the deal that we failed on.

Also, saying Felix is no Murray is silly. Both are on a very high level talent wise, but i don't think one is clearly much better than the other at all. Different styles, but both highly skilled.

I'm so tired of these kinds of arguments.

Felix's fumble cost us the game.
Newman's dropped INT cost us the game.
Romo's safety cost us the game.
Bailey's missed FG cost us the game.
Every single defensive player on every play that gained yards on every Giants scoring drive cost us the game.

We lost by a single score. You can point to every single play that worked out better for the Giants than the Cowboys and claim that that was the play that cost us the game. It's a pointless exercise and proves nothing.

Well, Romo did lead us down and got those 3 points right back.

IF that fumble didnt happen and Romo led us down for a TD then we would have been up by 16pts?

    Meh.. who knows
