“I think it’ll be a similar base,” Lee said. “Both coaches (Marinelli and Kiffin) are fantastic coaches. I think the issue is the players finding a way to play better within the scheme, being more consistent, being perfect with our technique and playing with consistency. Those are things we didn’t do at all last year.”

Lee got to know Marinelli last season even if he did not receive the day-to-day coaching from him.

“Unbelievable motivator, great person, great coach,” Lee said. “I’m excited to play for him as our coordinator. He’s going to be great. I’m excited Coach Kiffin is going to be involved too. I have a great relationship with Coach [Matt] Eberflus, who has made me a better player. Having all those guys will be great.”

Lee said the onus will be on the players to improve if the Cowboys want to be a team that makes the playoffs.

Personally, he's what I'd like to see more of. He's very big on personal accountability. That's one of the traits of a great leader.

I agree. Why the headshake, though? He's pretty aware of his injury issues, and by all reports is a guy who'd doing literally everything he can to be both healthy and prepared.

Lee is a player not a jaded fan. Is he to say well it does not matter we can't win anyways. lol Marinelli is a very good defensive coach I doubt you will find many in the league who thinks otherwise.

Great you are OK with the program, Lee.
Now, the thing to learn is that we need a players ON THE FIELD.
Not a towel waver like you half become.
Really tired of your fade-outs. If you half all that money, then start earning it.

I think the take away is that things have not changed.. until we have players who can execute consistently in any scheme, it's really not going to matter. you have limited practice reps, so i think this goes back to player current/potential skill level, film and mental reps.

UUUugh whats he supposed to say "omg its going to suck" You want to know what hes thinking. Hes scared, he doesnt know how anything is going to pan out. He doesnt know if the team is broken, how to boost morale or even if they are playing for anything next season. TO him it might be a wasted season, than another wasted season as new coaches are being brought in. Two years down the drain in one off season. Hes going to lie and say he thinks its great, there is no other option but to hope its going to be ok/
