I think Kosier will be back. Kind of an unsung hero along the line.

I hope a deal gets done. Our line plays much worse when he is not in there.

That's because he isn't in there to tell Gurode the line calls to yell out. :D

I think they'll be able to bring back Kosier for a reasonable price...

I saw a report that said Kosier calls about 60% of the line calls.

I don't know. I guess I'm torn. I like Kosier a lot but he has been injured now for three years straight. He played in all 16 in 09 but he was nicked up all year. I worry that he is where Colombo was prior to last year.

I wonder if they are thinking about moving Gurode out to right guard and starting Costa this year at center.

I like Kosier but he hasn't been fully healthy the past two years. Nor is he getting any younger.

We need to move on with younger players. We found Kosier out of the blue as a FA. We should do the same now.

Do not pay for age. We have to get younger.

I wouldn't feel real comfortable about that.

Which move bothers you? Gurode to guard or Costa to center? Or both? Just curious ..

Although Gurode's past year was subpar some, from his All Pro years, I'd leave him at center. The outside of the line is set now, so the two guards are in question. If Kosier is reasonable, and due to his age, it should be - then right guard goes to Holland at the start of camp. Then Costa or someone else has to wrestle the job from him. That, or if a real value free agent would project as young and available for the right guard position. There are some of those still out there. It boils down to value signees to project at this point.

My view, is that Costa just doesn't own the position enough to push Gurode out instead.

I agree. I've been a Kosier fan since early on even when it wasn't popular. But he's close to the same league Newman's in with the injury problems. My guess is they will make a reasonable effort to keep him.

I hope not, I have no problem moving Gurode to guard, but atleast replace him with a solid center.
