I had to bump this thread....

I'm not usually a fan of frozen pizza, but last night we had Freschetta Brick Oven style......and DAMN!

By FAR the best frozen pizza I've ever had....better than any delivery pizza I've had in some time too.

Freschetta's and Di Giornos are good higher end frozens. But I'll eat most any of the frozen cheese pizzas if you let me add my own toppings.

Not many folks are saying they PREFER frozen. Sometimes in life you have to make do.

And yes, Papa Murphy take-n-bake can be good. Some can be pretty greasy though.

Freschetta's Brick Oven is the only frozen pizza I buy. I won't say it is anywhere near the best pizza I've ever had, but it is easily the best frozen pizza you can buy that I know of.

Some of the best pizza I've ever eaten was brick oven pizza. There is a this little restaurant / pub in Weehawken, New Jersey that makes the best brick oven pizza I've ever eaten.

I live in NY, pretty much regarded as the mecca of pizza. Those things are awful compared to local pizza shops.

I use to say Freschetta (though not their brick oven stuff, that is mediocre), but now I have to go with Palermo's Rustico Pepperoni. It just has a lot more kick to it than Freschetta.

    You don't say?

Maybe that's why the thread title specifies FROZEN pizzas.

But when we do the poll to compare preferences: Frozen versus Pizzeria, we'll mark you down for the latter. It'll sure be interesting to see those results eh?

Sorry for being so short.:

I know what it said, but you can get a personal pie for around the same cost of those frozen pizzas.

Red Baron pizza is pretty good.

I can't stand DiGorno, though. Something funky going on with the crust.

I live in NY too and I dispute this claim. NY style pizza isn't the best. It is the most plain and cheaply made pizza that exists. Quality it is not.

I actually prefer NJ pizza, but NY is far from plain and cheap if you get it from the right places, sure there are places that are disgusting, but there are places that are best in the world aswell.

I'm partial to Chicago-style pizza myself. Deep dish pizza is about as good as it gets.
