two for me. both i still think should be far more widely recognised than they are. seen them both and they are fantastic live. first the rather arrogantly named "the music"
and one of my favourite songs of the last ten years

second band "rollin thunder" these guys are actually great guys, got drunk with them last time i saw them
that video the sound quality isn't great so here's a link to hear some of the album
listen to fading away, two worlds and its only love!
i've seen this band twice supporting diamondhead and they have been the best band on the bill both times.

a couple local bands back home in OKC come to mind..Corban Eldra had some amazing stuff but they split up early last year...unfortunately the only place you can find any of their stuff nowadays is m.y.s.p.a.c.e.....

another band was called with no remorse..out of Norman,OK my old band played a couple gigs with them and they have excellent music..and pretty cool guys to boot

My sister dated the lead singer of a local band called Highway Bound. They never made it past the local level. I grew up around those guys. Great band just never got the break they needed.

The Michael Stanley Band...Huge in NE Ohio since the late 70s and very strong here through the 80s. Would sell out large venues for consecutive nights...just never got the national spotlight.

Still plays locally...as well as radio dj.

I'm fairly sure this band was from Texas and I wonder if any of the members here ever heard of them. I got the CD and I love it, think they're great. I love music with great musicianship and this is it. It might be a bit 'emo' in some spots, but they're a good band and I wish they'd gotten big enough to continue.

And no one has heard of this band?
I'm surprised I was able to stumble on them.
