He's pretty much the unanimous top safety in the draft. Here's Broaddus' write up:

I think Jonathan Cyrprien could sneak into the late first.

Trade Down. If we had to take a player there, I'd go Cooper, Williams, Floyd or Vacarro. Allen would be one hell of a pick there but we really don't need a WR, unless we traded one.

He is fast-physical & has good cover skills..He wraps up & brings down the ball carrier with punishing hits. I think he has great instincts to be in the right position to make a play on the football, whether it be a deflection or knocking the ball loose. The guy is good in all areas in my opinion & would be worth drafting at 18.

If only for the fact we could have four C's starting in the secondary.

    Carr, Claiborne, Church, Cyrprien

    I go with Cooper.

Floyd is tempting, but I think we have to address the OL in a hurry. Dominant defenses are a thing of the past in the NFL. Our current defense gives a chance to compete. Our offense does not because of the OL. We have to fix it.

No way SD passes on Milliner and Vaccaro IMO.

No way Floyd or Milliner is not off the board. He will be top 10 pick, maybe top 5

I don’t think I would call this years Baltimore’s defense dominant.

They did (especially in the playoffs) make plays (interceptions, fumble recoveries).

They also had a good OL and a QB that was outstanding in the playoffs.

A lot will change once the combine gets here. If Milliner is not as fast as he is projected, he is going to fall behind a couple of CBs rated as 1st round prospects.

I think the same thing with Floyd. I mean, other then Lotulelei, you have 4 or 5 DT all in that same are. If Williams does run a 4.92 and his agilities are decent, at 6'4" 325 lbs, he's going to rocket up the boards. Same with a few of these other guys. It's really hard to say, at this point, who might still be on the board at 18.

I agree, considering the lower the Cowboys pick OL the less likely we’ll get anybody worth a toss.

We seem to be better developing lower round DL picks so I'd get my OL first.

No they didn't. A dominant defense does not give up 29 points.

When I use the word "dominant", I think of the Giants and Bears from the 80's, the Ravens from 2000. Today's defenses are not in the same league as those teams, the rules do not allow for it anymore.

Everyone says SF is dominant. How many points did they give up in the playoffs? Today's defenses are "good" on a week to week basis, the word dominant should never be used.

I see. So holding an offense who averaged 34 plus points a game and 473 yards a game, in the playoffs, for 4 plays on a 1st and goal situation for the win doesn't qualify as dominant?

    Your story, you tell it.

No. A dominant defense would not have been in that situation. Baltimore is good, far from dominant. They still allowed that team that averaged 34 points to score 29. They were good for one series. One series does not give you the "title" of dominant.
